This apartment is really perfectly situated. The area
of Kitai Gorod is considered be one of the most prestigious locations
in
central Moscow and proximity to the metro allows easy access to
anywhere else in the city. Since mid-centuries this area was popular
among rich merchants and they made sure to make it a nice and beautiful
place to live. You will see a lot of old mansions and ancient churches
and the quiet streets are great to walk around, as they still retained
their original character. If you need entertainment, just head
off to Myasnitskaya street, which will lead you towards Lubyanka
square and the Kremlin. Here’s a list of the best places
you will find in the area:
Restaurants & Cafes
There are lots of cafes around the apartment, many of them
opened 24 hours. Among the recommended ones are the Kruzhka beer
restaurant
(just 1 minute from the apartment), Mu-Mu restaurant (budget Russian
food, 5 minutes), Papa John’s (american, 5 minutes), Courvoisier
cafe (trendy hangout, 1 metro stop), Syrnaya Dyrka restaurant (swiss
cuisine, 5 minutes walk), Coffee Bean cafe (a popular student hangout,
7 minutes walk), Drova restaurant (Russian cuisine, opened 24 hours,
7 minute walk).
Shops & Services
Within 1-minute walk from the apartment there’s a 24-hour
grocery store, a pharmacy, laundry, flower shop, newsagent, and
snack stands. There’s also a business center and three banks
(with 24-hour ATMs), as well as a post office around. Within a
5-minute walk there’s an English-language book shop and a
little bit further – a few internet cafes. Should you need
any other service, you will be able to call our customer support

Entertainment
Kitai Gorod is Moscow’s smart clubbing area. The best clubs
are located here: the famous Propaganda (house, downtempo, funk,
nu-jazz), Kitaisky Letchik (quality alternative and folk Russian
music), Papa John’s (expat disco), Proekt OGI (intellectuals’ hangout),
Shanti (chic place). All of the clubs are within a 7-minute walk
from the apartment.
Cinemas
There are two cinemas around: 35mm (the best of original language
alternative cinema in Moscow), and Rolan (quality foreign and Russian
films). Both are within a 5-10 minute walk.
